Wolt Secures Additional €10 Million In Funding

Nordic food ordering startup, Wolt, has announced a €10 million investment from EQT Ventures.

EQT are considered a relatively new European VC fund with half a billion euros assets under management however EQT's Kees Koolen grew Booking.com to $9 billion in revenue as CEO and was an early advisor at Uber for many years.

Their previous $2 million round of investment saw Supercell CEO, Ilkka Paananen, make what was reported to be his first personal investment.

Wolt's CEO is no stranger to the startup scene either and and is co-founder and CEO of both Slush and Startup Sauna.

Wolt has already managed to attract over 100,000 users in Finland with over 400 restaurant partners in just under a year.  The business is now looking to expand to Stockholm and other territories in the not to distant future.

Congratulations to the entire team and we at Scede are incredibly excited to be supporting their hiring activity in Europe!
