Truecaller Gets $60 Million From Atomico & Kleiner

Truecaller was founded in June 2009 and their application has taken the world by storm.Currently they have more than 85 million users doing more than 800 million searches of telephone numbers every month, making Truecaller the world’s largest verified mobile phone community. This product is available on the web and as an app for the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian S60, Series 40 and Windows Phone.

The Swedish company already backed by Sequoia Capital received $60 million during this round from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Atomico. With this injection comes great experience seeing Kleiner’s John Doerr, Atomico’s Mattias Ljungman and investor Jerry Murdock all joining the company’s board. Atomico founder Niklas Zennstrom will also serve as a special adviser on the board.
Truecaller is growing rapidly and facing many exciting projects and opportunities.
